At Prospect Services, we understand the importance of a multi-disciplinary team.  That is why we utilize the services of other agencies, consultants, clinicians, and many other outside resources.

CLINICAL
As Prospect Services has never turned someone away because of their behavioural issues, we have found it necessary to have an intensive clinical team.

Prospect uses the Safe Management crisis intervention course in all of our programs.  We have 3 Advanced Safe Management Instructors on staff allowing us to provide training to our staff at any time of year. 

For those individuals that Basic Safe Management techniques do not work for, we have the option to have a Specialized Consult from Safe Management, which will individualize a crisis intervention technique.

We have teamed up with Pryor, Lindor and Associates.  They provide psychological and behavioural support.  The  Behaviour Therapist meets with our staff and clients on a regular basis and creates support and crisis plans as necessary.  Crisis and support plans are developed collaboratively between our staff and the team at Pryor, Lindor and Associates. 

We utilize a variety of doctors and psychiatrists.  Dr. Bartolucci is the consulting psychiatrist for Prospect Services.

MUSIC THERAPY
Music Therapy is not only limited to increasing personal development, behaviour development, but it can also help develop motor skills and communication skills.

Music Therapy Interventions can be designed to:

• Promote wellness
• Manage stress
• Express feelings
• Enhance memory and concentration
• Improve communication skills
• Provide meaningful interaction

A local music therapist visits our homes regularly.   Group and individual therapy sessions are provided to our clients. 

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational Therapy is a treatment that focuses on helping people achieve independence in all areas of their lives.  It can offer positive, fun activities to improve cognitive, physical and motor skills, enhance self esteem and give a sense of accomplishment.
